Effect of Some Secondary Test Variables on Fatigue Crack Growth

Source

Tests have been carried out on two high-strength aluminum alloys, and crack propagation behavior has been studied for different values of stress ratio and cycling frequency, and also for different specimen thicknesses and configurations. The results are discussed in relation to a crack propagation model derived from R-curve theory.
