A Radiometric Method for Determination of Magnesium Oxide in Portland Cement

Source

A radiometric method for the determination of magnesium oxide in portland cement has been developed as part of an Atomic Energy Commission research program on the development of radioactive tracer quality-control systems. The portland — cement industry was chosen for study for several reasons, the most important of which is its dependence upon chemical analysis for quality control.
