Revision of E2813-18 Standard Practice for Building Enclosure Commissioning
Rationale
Ballot rationale: Proposed editorial re-formatting of Table A2.1 in Annex 2 BECx Performance Testing Requirements, to make the table easier to interpret. We have received repeated feedback that the table is confusing; these edits are intended to streamline and clarify the table in response to this confusion. For example, many users have expressed that they believe that all of the testing listed in the table is required to meet this standard; however, this is not the intent. In general Edits include: Separating mandatory lab testing into a separate table; Formatting changes to enhanced and fundamental required field testing; Separating tests that are optional (only) into a separate table; and Updates to the table notes to align with the new formatting (e.g. since mandatory laboratory testing is its own table, notes designating laboratory testing are no longer necessary - see annotations in document). To be clear: This proposed reformatting does not in any way change the technical content of the standard nor the performance testing requirements and their application and use as part of this standard.
