To establish a common data exchange format for laser blown powder DED process in JSON schema.

Rationale

Each of the variables from the equipment and feedstock materials complicate the DED process, which in turn deteriorates the reproducibility of a DED process.
The objective of this project is to in-depth understand the laser blown powder DED process by study the key parameters from different systems and standardize the process data in a format which can be applied to different DED systems.
The common data exchange format for DED will serve as a foundation for digitalization of the DED process to store the process data and to compare the process across different DED systems.
A CDEF for laser DED process will benefit the L-DED industry.

The title and scope are in draft form and are under development within this ASTM Committee.
