Revision of F3346-19 Standard Specification for Polyethylene of Raised Temperature/Aluminum/Polyethylene of Raised Temperature (PERT/AL/PE-RT) Composite Pressure Pipe
Rationale
These proposed revisions are required to create consistency within this standard. Within the body of the standard material is referred to as both PE-RT and PERT. I propose to change PERT to PE-RT in two places (Title and Section 1.1) to be consistent with the rest of the document. In Section 6.2.3 I am proposing changing polyethylene to PE-RT in two places. The referenced Table 2 will also be updated changing PE to PE-RT in two places. Additionally, in Section 8.3, I propose changing ± 1 °C (1.8 °F) to read ± 1 °C (± 2 °F). This change will now match the tolerances in the following section 8.4 of this standard, allowing for consistency within the document. The last change is a spelling correction found in Section 9.8.2. The word tinner is used when according to the context it should read inner.
