Revision of C926-23 Standard Specification for Application of Portland Cement-Based Plaster

Rationale

1. Section A2.3.3 references a “premanufactured control expansion joint member”. This is confusing, as a “control-expansion joint member” does not exist. The proposed revision deletes this term because it does not exist.
2. The existing text is poorly written as plaster cannot technically be continuous and yet interrupted with an expansion joint or casing beads back to back. The proposed revision clarifies this concept.
3. The term “metal plaster base” is revised to the more widely used and accepted term “lath” which is currently defined in the terminology section of the document.
