New Specification for NON-PETROLEUM SYNTHESIZED ISO-PARAFFINIC BLEND COMPONENTS FOR USE IN AVIATION SPARK-IGNITION ENGINE
1. Scope
1.1 This specification covers requirements for fuel grade synthesized iso-paraffinic blend components that may be used to manufacture fuels for aviation spark-ignition engines where permissible.
1.2 While synthesized isoparaffinic blend components defined by Table 1 of this specification can be used in fuels other than aviation spark-ignition fuels, requirements for such other fuels have not been considered in the development of this specification
1.3 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard.
1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. A research report providing detailed property and composition information as well as a comparison to conventional blend stocks, supporting the establishment of this specification is also attached.
