Revision of E2813-18 Standard Practice for Building Enclosure Commissioning
Rationale
Correction of ASTM E488/E488M Testing Frequency in Table A2.1:
The frequency of field mockup testing for ASTM E488/E488M in Table A2.1 is currently listed as “OF” (“Optional Field”) under the Enhanced Level and “1x” under the Fundamental Level. As outlined in the standard, the Enhanced Level is intended to reflect more stringent requirements than the Fundamental Level; therefore, Fundamental Level testing should not be greater than the Enhanced Level. This ballot switches the testing frequencies listed between the Fundamental and Enhanced Levels to change the ASTM E488/E488M frequency to “1x” for the Enhanced Level and “OF” for the Fundamental Level. Find these revisions on page 18 of the attached ballot.
