Reinstatement of F655-13 Standard Specification for Test Carpets and Pads for Vacuum Cleaner Testing (Withdrawn 2022)
Rationale
This standard was deactivated due to unresolved negatives with respect to the consumer and market relevancy of the carpets. At the May 22, 2023, F11.21.01 task group meeting held in Conshohocken, PA, it was agreed to revise the standard to permit reactivation due to the many references to the F655 standard. The agreed revisions include the addition of Note 1, changes to para 3.1.1, the removal of multi-level carpet and unavailable carpets in Table 1 (i.e. – plush and Frieze), and updating of the carpet source for level loop in reference 3.
