Revision of D2892-20 Standard Test Method for Distillation of Crude Petroleum (15-Theoretical Plate Column)
Rationale
1) Method Reference Additions:
To add two additional methods, ASTM D5002 (Standard Test Method for Density, Relative Density, and API Gravity of Crude Oils by Digital Density Analyzer) & ASTM D70-M (Standard Test Method for Specific Gravity & Density of Semi-Solid Asphalt Binder (Pycnometer Method)) to the Reference Documents section 2 along with explanations where they could be used with different sample types.
2) Alignment Documentation:
ASTM Form & Style, §A7.2.5 reads:
Referencing Terminology Standard—If the terminology applicable to the standard is included in a terminology standard, cite the applicable terminology standard.
Add reference to D4175 with appropriate sections.
