Revision of F778-88(2014) Standard Methods for Gas Flow Resistance Testing of Filtration Media
Rationale
F778 was in danger of expiring at the end of 2022 without reapproval. The ballot statement stated "This standard is
undergoing revision and will not be ready for ballot before the standard’s expiration date; therefore, it is requested that membership with concerns vote “affirmative with comments”. These comments will be addressed in the revision of this standard. Membership with concerns are also invited to join the revision effort."
The renewal ballot received one comment from Mike Brisson requiring revision to address. His comments were:

Scope needs units statement (Form and Style requirement)
Add reference to D1356 terminology standard for terms not defined herein.
6.2.2 and 6.2.3 contain reference documents that should be properly cited in footnotes
or in a References section at the end of the standard.
Look at definitions of variables in 8.3 as there appear to be two definitions for v. Perhaps
an artifact of how the pdf was produced?
9.2 and 9.3 - change 9practice9 to 9test method9.
Equations throughout should be numbered.
In the last paragraph of 12.2, three 9other air-flow equations9 are mentioned; is there a
reference for these which could be cited?
Key words are needed (Form and Style requirement)
