Revision of C670-15 Standard Practice for Preparing Precision and Bias Statements for Test Methods for Construction Materials
Rationale
Changes to 4. General Concepts are meant to improve clarity. 4.1 is rewritten to clarify that the test method defines what a test result is for that test method. 4.1.1 is changed by removing extra wording and by removing the references to range of results, which is addressed in 4.1.2. Several changes are made to 4.2.1 and in Note 2 to improve clarity without changing the intended meaning of the note. A sentence is changed in 4.2.2 to improve readability. A change in 4.2.4 clarifies what "causes" is referring to. A change to Table 1 corrects a spelling typo. Finally changes in 4.4.1 correct the word "affect" to "effect" and material variability is added as another factor to consider when establishing specification limits.
