ASTM International presented its top annual award – the 2024 Award of Merit – to Krista Turpin for her contributions to ASTM’s pesticides, antimicrobials, and alternative control agents committee (E35).
The prestigious award, which includes the accompanying title of fellow, is ASTM’s highest recognition for distinguished service and outstanding participation in ASTM International committee activities. Turpin was recognized for her outstanding experience in suspension formulations and dry granule formulations, and her leadership of successful collaborations in developing standards in this field.
An ASTM International member since 2002, Turpin has been previously honored by the committee with their Award of Appreciation (2023).
Turpin works as a research associate at Stepan Company, a position she has held since 2022, though since 1994, she has held various positions in their agricultural solutions group based at the Agricultural Innovation Center in Winder, GA. Her work has focused on surfactant and agricultural formulations development for a variety of delivery systems specializing in particle-based products.
