ASTM International’s masonry - manufactured masonry units, mortars and grouts committee (C15) has presented its Gilbert C. Robinson Memorial Award to Leroy Danforth.
The award recognizes dedication and exemplary effort in developing and promulgating ASTM standards. The officers and members of the committee thank Danforth for exceptional technical contributions that assist committee C15 in its work and that advance the state-of the-art within the scope of the committee.
An ASTM International member since 1999, Danforth is also a member of The Masonry Society.
Danforth’s career focuses include masonry construction, building envelope performance, product research, testing and evaluation. He has served as a client consulting engineer with the IAPMO Institute for Building Technology (IBT) since 2026. He earned his master of science in engineering degree in construction engineering and management from the Catholic University of America (2006).
