Michael Pfeifer is the Principal Engineer and Trainer at Industrial Metallurgists, LLC.
He received a B.S. and M.S. in Metallurgical Engineering from University of Illinois and a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern University. After graduating he worked 13 years at Motorola as a manufacturing engineer in an integrated circuit factory and as a design/quality/cost reduction engineer for automotive electronics.
He is also on the Editorial Board of the Journal of ASTM International and serves as associate editor of the Journal of Petroleum Science, Engineering and World Review of Science, Technology, and Sustainable Development.
Mr. Pfeifer is the author of Materials Enabled Designs which teaches how to select materials that will optimize product performance, reliability, and cost.TPTCSHEATWEB0118
