ASTM International presented its top annual award – the Award of Merit – to Thomas Greene for his contributions to its concrete and concrete aggregates committee (C09).
The prestigious award, which includes the accompanying title of fellow, is ASTM’s highest recognition for distinguished service and outstanding participation in ASTM International committee activities. Greene was recognized by the committee for a career spanning over 40 years, through which he has served as a developer, educator, and leader in sustainable concrete.
An ASTM International member since 1997, Greene has previously been honored by the committee with two Awards of Appreciation (2016, 2021). In addition to ASTM, he is a member of the American Concrete Institute (ACI).
Greene’s career focuses include concrete materials, testing, quality control, and admixtures. He currently serves as regional technical service manager at Chryso, a position he’s held since 2004.
