Frank DiSanzo has received the 2022 George V. Dyroff award from ASTM International for his contributions to the petroleum products, liquid fuels, and lubricants committee (D02).
DiSanzo was recognized for his international problem-solving in the research of fuels and lubricants, and many services to the committee over the course of his distinguished career.
DiSanzo’s career concentrations include general chemistry research in fuels and lubes, synthetic fuels, and fuel regulatory matters. Prior to his recent retirement, DiSanzo worked as a distinguished research associate for ExxonMobil.
An ASTM International member since 1990, DiSanzo has previously been honored with the Award of Appreciation, two Awards of Excellence, the Eagle Award, and the Award of Merit (2019). In addition to ASTM, he is a member of the American Chemical Society (ACS).
DiSanzo received his doctoral degree in chemistry (1979) from the University of Massachusetts.
