ASTM International presented its top annual award – the 2025 Award of Merit – to Adam Estelle for his contributions to ASTM’s copper and copper alloys committee (B05).
The prestigious award, which includes the accompanying title of fellow, is ASTM’s highest recognition for distinguished service and outstanding participation in ASTM International committee activities. Estelle was recognized for his positive demeanor, willingness to step up as a leader, and his part in initiatives such as subcommittee B05.08, which supports essential copper recycling efforts.
An ASTM International member since 2008, Estelle had been previously honored by the committee with the Award of Appreciation (2014) and the Arthur Cohen Distinguished Service Award (2019).
Estelle serves as president and CEO of the Copper Development Association (CDA), a position he’s held since 2024. He has been with CDA since 2008, with a focus on market development for copper & copper alloy products, most recently serving as vice president of the organization.
Estelle received his bachelor of science degree in materials science and engineering from the University of Arizona (2008).
