Presentations are invited for ASTM International’s Workshop on Concrete Intelligence: Establishing an AI Baseline, to be held Dec. 6, 2026, in Jacksonville, FL. The event is sponsored by ASTM International’s concrete and concrete aggregates committee (C09) and will be held in conjunction with the committee’s standards development meetings.
The main objective of this workshop is to establish a technical baseline to understand the artificial intelligence (AI) status in industries that rely on the committee’s documents. Initial presentations will cover the basis and definitions of AI, and current capabilities, as well as the growth and future potential. Secondary presentations will focus on applications and use within the industry. Final presentations will target areas for development and need for new documents, or adaptation of existing committee documents.
To participate in the workshop, authors must submit a 250 to 300-word preliminary abstract to the Workshop Chairs, Rich Szecsy and Nick Barbosa no later than Jun. 30, 2026.
