Contributions Help Company Replace and Upgrade Necessary Equipment
ASTM International has made a $7,000 donation to the Washington Fire Company No. 1 of Conshohocken to help replace and upgrade important lifesaving equipment.
The new items includes a FoxFury NOMAD 360 portable scene light, a battery operated RHYNO windshield cutter®, and a battery operated Hurst Jaws of Life® – eDRAULIC™ 2.0 cutter tool. Individually, these tools are faster, more powerful and easier to transport than existing equipment currently in use by the fire company. This state-of the-art equipment will make it easier to extract victims in the case of an accident, and transport them to a hospital in the fastest time possible.
ASTM International’s Jim S. Thomas, Assistant Vice President, Sales and Marketing (second from left) and Bob Bendig, director, general services (far right) are seen here with some of the new equipment purchased with ASTM’s donations and representatives from Washington Fire Company 1, from left to right: Lieutenant Chris Savage, Firefighter Ron Januzelli, Trustee Emeritus Frank Carlin, Assistant Chief Joseph Costello Jr., President and Deputy Chief Andrew Carlin, Fire Marshall Bob Zinni and Firefighter Beth Januzelli (front row).
