Registration is now open for the ASTM International Symposium Highlighting Standard Guides and Practices that Support the Lubricant Condition Monitoring Industry, to be held June 26 – 27, 2022, at the Hyatt Regency Seattle (Washington, USA). The symposium is sponsored by the ASTM petroleum products, liquid fuels, and lubricants committee (D02) and will be held in conjunction with the committee’s June standards development meetings.

This symposium will present new technologies and developments available in the condition monitoring industry and highlight condition monitoring strategies pertinent to all sectors of the in-service lubricant analysis community. This includes service providers, lubricant and instrument manufacturers, and end-users.

Topics for this symposium include, but are not limited to:

  • Viscosity;
  • Grease cleanliness;
  • Using oil analysis data to create criteria and trends;
  • Proper oil sampling techniques;
  • Failure modes and effects;
  • Used diesel engine oil testing;
  • Wear particle classification;
  • Filtration best practices as it relates to condition monitoring; and more.
