ASTM International’s nonferrous metals and alloys committee (B02) presented its top annual award – the Award of Merit – to Audrey Boutin, manager of technical & marketing services at Teck Metals Ltd.
The prestigious award, which includes the accompanying title of fellow, is ASTM’s highest recognition for distinguished service and outstanding participation in ASTM International committee activities. Boutin was recognized for her leadership and expertise within B02. The committee noted that her industry experience has aided the advancement of globally adopted standards impacting a variety of industries like electronics, car batteries, construction, and more.
An ASTM International member since 2011, Boutin has previously received Awards of Appreciation from B02 (2014) and A05 (2025), as well as the Gary M. Kralik Distinguished Service Award in 2022.
Boutin is a licensed professional engineer with the province of Ontario (PEO) and earned her bachelor of applied science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Toronto in 2004. Since then, she has focused her career in the applications end of the mining industry with a range of engineering roles involving zinc batteries, oil sands, and numerous refined metals.
