Papers are invited for ASTM International’s 11th Roofing and Waterproofing Symposium, to be held Dec. 5, 2027, in New Orleans, LA, USA. The event is sponsored by ASTM International’s roofing and waterproofing committee (D08) and will be held in conjunction with the committees’ standards development meetings.

The symposium provides a forum for contributing to the fundamental understanding of acceptable roof performance, with the primary focus being current research and development work. The symposium will center on the influence of both laboratory and field investigations in the development of standards for roofing and waterproofing materials and systems.

Topics for the symposium include research and standards for low- and steep-sloped roofing systems, covering:

• Bituminous and single-ply membranes
• Self-adhesive and liquid-applied systems
• Spray polyurethane foam
• Metal roofing
• Roof edge systems
• Steep-slope coverings such as shingles and tiles

To participate in the symposium, authors must submit a 250 to 300-word preliminary abstract using the online Abstract Submission Portal no later than Jun. 15, 2026.
