ASTM International continued a yearly tradition of sponsoring a t-shirt contest on Aug. 9 for the summer day camp program for youth near its West Conshohocken global headquarters. The sponsorship also involved supporting field trips earlier in the summer.
On Aug. 9, ASTM International staff helped judge a t-shirt contest which provided monetary prizes for three age ranges of campers.
First-place winners Miley Duff, Skylar McCollum, and Amelia Bohr, received cash awards and the chance to have their design used for next year’s camp shirt. The camp t-shirts are also paid for by ASTM International.
Second-place winners Giavanna Ferrizzi, Jibril Easley, and Jack Huffman also received cash prizes. All participants received McDonald’s gift cards.
The eight-week program at Keith MacKenzie Park is open to children and grandchildren of local residents free of charge. This year, ASTM International sponsored field trips for dozens of campers to the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia and the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, New Jersey.
