ASTM International has announced the launch of My Virtual Safety Trainer (MVST) – a cutting edge virtual reality (VR) safety training program that’s available through the ASTM Learning Center.

MVST consists of more than 50 self-paced eLearning modules that include VR simulations and gamified content. This type of immersive training has been statistically proven to positively impact attention spans, leading to increased retention rates, engagement levels, and personal enjoyment during training sessions. Each learning objective reflects environments and scenarios commonly found in the construction and general industry sectors.

“Our existing training on ASTM concrete, cement asphalt, and soil standards provide a strong foundation for those in construction materials testing,” says Athena Huss, manager of OnDemand Solutions at ASTM International. “Providing 360 Immersive’s safety courses will strengthen our offerings to provide a comprehensive learning experience for those in the lab and in the field.”
