ASTM International presented its top annual award – the Award of Merit – to Roland Warzel for his contributions to ASTM’s international committee on metal powders and metal powder products (B09). 



The prestigious award, which includes the accompanying title of fellow, is ASTM’s highest recognition for distinguished service and outstanding participation in ASTM International committee activities. Warzel was recognized for technical excellence, assiduous work in promoting ASTM standards, and his diligence as a secretary, technical contact, and subcommittee chair.

An ASTM International member since 2007, Warzel had been previously honored by the committee with the Distinguished Service Award (2014) and the Award of Appreciation (2018).

Warzel works as a director of technical service at metal powder supplier North American Hoganas, a position he’s held since 2017. His focus is customer technical support and new product development.
