ASTM International continued its longtime support of the annual West Conshohocken Summer Program this year. Held at the borough’s Keith MacKenzie Park, the program ran from the end of the school year through late August and was open to children and grandchildren of West Conshohocken residents free of charge.
Donations from organizations like ASTM help run the camp activities. This includes the program’s annual art contest, which ASTM sponsors. Campers submit their designs and are judged based on age groups. First- and second-prize winners receive a monetary gift and have their design printed on camp t-shirts.
This summer, program participants enjoyed ASTM-sponsored field trips to the Adventure Aquarium and the Franklin Institute.
Winners of this summer’s t-shirt design contest are:
• Group 1 (ages 8 and younger): Sara Lynn Smith (1st place) and Giavanna Ferrizzi (2nd place)
• Group 2, (ages 9 to 11): Steven Sobeck (1st place) and Leah Frankenfield (2nd place)
• Group 3, (ages 12 and older): Hailey Conner (1st place) and Sean Conner (2nd place)
