Paul Stutzman, physical scientist with the United States National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA, was honored with the Bryant Mather Award from ASTM International’s committee on cement (C01). 

Stutzman, who joined ASTM International in 1990, was recognized for his contributions to the development of various committee standards related to quantitative analysis of Portland cement and his exceptional work on behalf of the subcommittee on compositional analysis (C01.23). He has also been honored with the Award of Appreciation (2011), the P.H. Bates Memorial Award (1992 and 2008), and the Award of Merit (2013). 

Stutzman has previously served as a geologist for Reservoirs Inc. He holds a bachelor’s degree in geology from Hanover College, and a master’s degree in geology from Southern Illinois University.
