Michael Roginski, principal engineer at Boeing Airport Compatibility Engineering in Bellevue, Washington, has received the H.W. Kummer Lecture Award from ASTM International Committee E17 on Vehicle-Pavement Systems.

Roginski was honored for his December 2014 lecture, “Runway Roughness Evaluation-Boeing Bump Criteria.” He has been a member of Committee E17 since 2013.

A graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Roginski has worked with Boeing since 1986 as a specialist structures design engineer in both the military aircraft and commercial aircraft divisions. He assumed his current role in 2000.

Outside ASTM, Roginski is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Latin American and Caribbean Airport Pavements Association.
