Annemarie Appleton, president and chief consultant of Appleton Quality Concepts LLC, has received ASTM International’s Founding Committee Award.
ASTM’s steel, stainless steel, and related alloys committee (A01) was the first committee formed upon ASTM’s founding in 1898. The award recognizes individuals of the highest level of leadership and exemplary contributions to ASTM's founding committee in the development and promotion of voluntary consensus standards.
An ASTM International member since 1990, Appleton has been previously awarded by the committee with the Award of Merit and the Award of Appreciation.
In addition to ASTM, Appleton is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the Manufacturers Standardization Society (MSS). Beyond specifications and standards, her career concentration is quality system programs for materials manufacturers and suppliers in process, pressure piping, and pressure vessel materials and piping components.
