Hydrogen Fuel Contaminants Workshop Issues Call for Papers
This workshop will bring together researchers, industry experts, regulators, and end-users to discuss the latest developments and challenges in hydrogen fuel contaminant measurement and quality assurance.

A call for papers is announced for ASTM International’s Workshop on Hydrogen Fuel Contaminant Analyzers and Associated Data Quality, to be held Dec. 8, 2025, in Houston, TX. The event is sponsored by ASTM International’s gaseous fuels committee (D03) and will be held in conjunction with the committee’s standards development meetings.
This workshop will bring together researchers, industry experts, regulators, and end-users to discuss the latest developments and challenges in hydrogen fuel contaminant measurement and quality assurance.
Topics for this workshop include:
- Inline, atline, and online analyzers
- Benchtop analyzers
- Hydrogen purity and impurity specifications
- Sampling methods
- Standards to support full value-chain (e.g., production, transportation, end-use) across all hydrogen applications (e.g., industrial, commercial, fuel cell, etc.)
To participate in the workshop, authors must submit a 250 to 300-word preliminary abstract no later than June 15, 2025 to the workshop chairs, Christina Daniels (christina.daniels@bp.com), Florian Adler (fadler@process-insights.com), or Mark Taylor (mark.taylor@airbornelabs.com).
