Dipak J. Negandhi, a senior engineer for Unified Brands in Jackson, Miss., has become the new chair of ASTM Committee F26 on Food Service Equipment. More than 45 members comprise the committee, which maintains 72 standards published in the Annual Book of ASTM Standards.

Negandhi lives in Brandon, Miss.

An ASTM International member since 1991, Negandhi works on a number of F26 subcommittees. Negandhi is, in addition to ASTM, a member of the American Society of Gas Engineers and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

Negandhi focuses on mechanical and product engineering, developing new appliances and food service equipment from concept to production. He also has engineering experience from previous positions at Roper Corp., Taylor Co., and Halsey Taylor.

A graduate of M.S. University in Baroda, India, Negandhi also holds an M.S. in mechanical engineering from Ohio University and an M.B.A. from Ball State University.
