Abstracts Invited for ASTM C26 Chester Meetings and Conference

Abstracts are invited for ASTM International’s C26 Chester Meetings and Conference, to be held June 15-19, 2026, in Chester, UK. The event is sponsored by ASTM International’s nuclear fuel cycle committee (C26) and will be held in conjunction with the committee’s standards development meetings.

The conference will focus on the developing the HALEU (High-Assay Low-Enriched Uranium) market. Participants will include ASTM members, industry partners, and government representatives.

Two of the workshops within the conference are inviting abstracts.

For Analytical Methods & CRMs, topics for abstracts include:

Reference materials and quality assurance in the HALEU nuclear fuel cycle and Nuclear Processing, including enrichment, deconversion and fuel fabrication
Test methods for novel nuclear fuel forms (in-lab, at-line, destructive analysis
In-line UF₆ detection capabilities in HALEU enrichment
Analytical methods supporting new fuel types, advanced reactor technologies, and materials research
Spectroscopy, environmental, and nuclear forensics methods

To participate in this workshop, authors must submit a 250 to 300-word preliminary abstract no later than Feb. 28, 2026, to workshop chairs Kayron Rogers and Tamara Keever.

For Non-Destructive Assay, topics for abstracts include new developments and methods in the field.
