This week, ASTM International celebrated 50 years of service from Marge Cassidy, the organization's treasurer since 1994. This is the first employee to achieve this milestone in ASTM's 117-year history.

ASTM President James A. Thomas said, "We wouldn't be who we are today without Marge. Her leadership and her contributions − both to our organization's global mission and to our local community − are incalculable."

Cassidy played a key role in ASTM's move from downtown Philadelphia to its current location in West Conshohocken in 1995. As community outreach coordinator for ASTM, she has built strong relationships with local institutions, serving in leadership roles at the Colonial Neighborhood Council, the Conshohocken-Plymouth-Whitemarsh Rotary Club's Lafayette Foundation, the Fellowship House of Conshohocken and more. She also served as president of the Philadelphia Chapter of AMS and as chairman of the board of the Philadelphia Clearinghouse for Nonprofit Organizations.

Prior to her current leadership position overseeing ASTM's finances, Marge served in roles including controller, accounting manager, accounting assistant manager, accounting supervisor and accounting clerk. She began at ASTM as a clerk typist and a general clerk in the sales service department.
