Today ASTM International, a global standards organization, announced that it is a supporting partner of the World Heavy Oil Congress & Exhibition, held Sept. 2-4, at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Center in Muscat. 

Held under the auspices of the Ministry of Oil & Gas, Sultanate of Oman, the exhibition is a globally-recognized, 3-day technical conference and exhibition that brings together global businesses and thought leaders across the heavy oil value chain. 

The event allows heavy oil professionals to exchange on topics including upstream, midstream, and downstream heavy-oil operations, and heavy-oil research and technology.

“ASTM International is pleased to be a supporting partner of this global event,” according to Nick Ecart, the organization’s director of business development for Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

ASTM International supports several events in the Gulf region each year, including ADIPEC, ARABLAB, Project Qatar, the Oman Downstream Exhibition & Conference, the Annual Quality Assurance for Sustainable Construction Materials Conference and Workshop, and the Dubai Civil Defence Annual Fire Safety Technology Forum.
