ASTM International’s medical and surgical materials and devices committee (F04) has issued one of its 2023 Patrick G. Laing Awards to Ryan Siskey, principal and Philadelphia office director at Exponent, Inc.

The Laing Award is conferred for significant and outstanding contributions in the field of medical and surgical devices.

An ASTM International member since 2004, Siskey had been previously honored by the committee with the Robert Fairer Award (2010) and the Manny Horowitz Award (2018).

Siskey’s career concentration is biomedical engineering, and he has held his current full position since 2016. In 2008, he graduated from Drexel University with a master’s degree in his field.
