Today the ASTM International Exo Technology Center of Excellence (ET CoE) debuted its inaugural annual report which highlights the organization’s vision, team, partnerships, acceleration projects, accomplishments, and key metrics. 

The inaugural ET CoE annual report, available here, includes information on the organization’s scope of work, team structure, and an expansive list of diverse partner organizations, government agencies, and universities. Also in the report are detailed descriptions of the 13 key acceleration projects currently under development within the ET CoE, impacting nine proposed standards. The report also highlights various significant training, education, and workforce development activities that took place over the past year. 

“Through the work of the ET CoE, we’ve been able to leverage the world’s top technical experts and professionals in government, academia, healthcare, and industry to accelerate safety and reliability standards for exoskeletons and their systems,” notes William Billotte, Ph.D., ASTM International director, global exo technology programs. “This inaugural report documents the hard work of numerous individuals and organizations that are helping the exo community advance forward together.”

Established in 2019, ASTM’s Center of Excellence in Exo Technology (ET CoE) focuses on accelerating exo standards through research, education, workforce development, training certifications, and connecting global exo communities.
