ASTM International Committee C24 on Building Seals and Sealants has presented its Lou Toporcer Hall of Fame Award to Michael Nagle, associate principal at Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates Inc. Nagle is based in Cleveland, Ohio.
A member of ASTM since 2006, Nagle works on several C24 subcommittees. The committee noted his distinguished service and outstanding contributions to the development of international standards for building seals and sealants. He also received the Toporcer Award in 2012.
Nagle is a building envelope consultant who specializes in facade, windows and roofing problems in existing, historic and new buildings. Prior to joining WJE in 2004, he was an architect at Cleveland firms Richard L. Bowen & Associates and Collins Gordan Bostwick Architects.
A licensed architect in New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania, Nagle has been certified an exterior insulation and finishing system (EIFS) industry professional by the Association of the Wall and Ceiling Industry. He is a member of the Building Enclosure Council and RCI Inc. in addition to ASTM.
Nagle is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he received his master’s and bachelor’s degrees in architecture.
