Abstracts are being solicited for a conference on Detection Limits sponsored by ASTM International Committee D22 on Air Quality. The conference will be held on August 29-31, 2016, at the DoubleTree Raleigh – Brownstone – University, Raleigh, N.C.
The goal of the conference is to provide a forum to educate, discuss, and debate the various aspects of detection limits as applied to the various fields of environmental measurements. Topics include:
• Overview of detection limits and the cornucopia of related terms
• The mathematical basis behind the establishment of detection limits
• How particular stakeholders apply detection limits to their field of interest
• Implications of detection limit definition inhomogenalities
Featured speakers include:
• Michael Brisson, Savannah River National Laboratory, Aiken, S.C.
• Dr. Steve Morgan, University of South Carolina, Columbia, S.C.
• Lara Phelps, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Research Triangle Park, N.C
