ASTM Aviation Fuel Events Coming to Brussels in April

ASTM International will be hosting a weeklong series of aviation fuel events from April 7-11, 2025 at the Brussels Marriott Hotel Grand Place (Brussels, Belgium). The schedule includes , a synthetic aviation turbine fuel (SATF) , and a two-day aviation fuels training program.
The ASTM aviation fuels subcommittee () covers everything from SATF, to thermal and electrical properties, to jet fuel specifications. Members of D02.J include all major engine and aircraft manufacturers, fuel producers, and regulators from around the world.
The week starts with a full-day on synthetic aviation turbine fuel (SATF) on April 7. With sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) as the focus of new environmental mandates in Europe, this seminar will provide a space to learn about new evaluation and specification development needed to advance alternative aviation fuels.
for the subcommittee sections will happen from April 8-10. These meetings are open to all registered attendees, both ASTM members and non-members, at no charge. They will provide in-depth discussions on a variety of subjects, including progress towards unleaded aviation gasoline, special topic presentations on , and advancements in co-processing.
Finally, from April 9-11, , covers how specifications are used to control the quality of aviation fuels, and features hands-on samples of aviation fuel equipment. The training will be especially valuable to supervisors, managers, and professionals new to aviation.
Organized in 1904, D02 on petroleum products, liquid fuels, and lubricants, is one of ASTM International's oldest committees, as well as its largest. The committee includes more than 2,400 members from 65 countries, and has developed more than 800 industry standards.
