ASTM International Committee E07 on Nondestructive Testing has presented the 2009 Noah A. Kahn Award to Alice Kodama, a recent graduate of Lehigh University, Bethlehem, Pa.

Established in 1963, the Noah A. Kahn Award is given annually to a graduating student of Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute and Lehigh University for outstanding performance in metallurgical engineering or materials aspects

Kodama received a bachelor’s degree in materials science and engineering from Lehigh University in 2009. Other awards received during her academic career include the Lehigh University Women’s Club Engineering Award in 2008 and the Harmer Prize, a citizenship award from the Lehigh University Department of Materials Science and Engineering, in 2009. 

Kodama recently accepted the position of assistant to product management at Advanced Sports Inc., Philadelphia, Pa., a manufacturer and distributor of high performance bicycles.
