These ASTM Instructor-Led and OnDemand Training Policies and FAQs (“Policies”) describe operational guidelines applicable to ASTM training courses. When referenced in an applicable Statement of Work (“SOW”) or other training order, these Policies are incorporated by reference into the ASTM Instructor-Led Training Terms and Conditions Agreement between ASTM International and the applicable client.
ASTM may update these Policies from time to time, and the current version will be posted on the ASTM website.

Acceptable payment methods are credit card (Visa, Mastercard, and American Express), Invoice or Electronic Funds Transfer.
Credit Cards
Pay with a valid credit card on our website. We use HTTPS (Secure HTTP) Protocol to ensure that ordering information is sent directly to ASTM, and that only ASTM can decode it.
Check
Checks should be made payable to ASTM International in U.S. dollars (drawn on a U.S. bank).
Invoice Payment
Upon receipt of electronic funds transfer, money will be credited to your account. Transfer the total amount of the invoice to the account listed below and identify your payment as Instructor-led and OnDemand Training. For invoice payments or electronic funds transfer instructions, please contact ASTM Training. Please be sure to also include your ASTM account number which can be found on your receipt.

Receipt/Invoice
After you register and submit your online order, an email notification will be sent to the email address you provided. This email notification is your receipt. If you have not received your receipt after submitting your online order, email train@astm.org or call +1.610.832.9695.
ASTM Cancellation of Class
ASTM encourages attendees to call and confirm whether a specific course is running before purchasing airline tickets. ASTM is not responsible for the purchase of non-refundable tickets, or the cancellation/change fees associated with canceling a flight. ASTM retains the right to cancel a course until three weeks prior to the scheduled presentation date.
Customer Cancellation of Class Attendance
If you need to cancel your attendance to the class you registered for, a phone or email notification to ASTM is required five business days prior to the first day of the course. You may receive a full refund, minus a $100 administrative fee, up to and including the fifth business day before the seminar. If you find that you cannot attend, and it is less than five business days before the start of the seminar, you may send a replacement with phone notice to ASTM. If you are unable to send a replacement, you will forfeit 50% of your registration fee. For more information, please contact train@astm.org.
Refund of Online Learning Event
All online training courses (eLearning Programs, eLearning Courses, Microlearnings) are only available by the purchaser and cannot be shared. The purchase is valid for one year after the date of purchase. Refunds or substitutions will not be issued once the program, course, module, or materials have been accessed. To set up access for a group or company, contact our training team.
Course Materials
ASTM International will provide applicable materials needed for participants to participate in the course.
Recording
Client and participants may not audio record, video record, livestream, or otherwise reproduce the training session without ASTM’s prior written consent. Any approved recording shall remain subject to ASTM’s intellectual property rights. Unauthorized recording is prohibited and may result in removal from the training session and other remedies as permitted under the applicable training agreement or SOW.
Instructor Substitution
ASTM International reserves the right to substitute the assigned instructor with a comparably qualified instructor if necessary due to illness, emergency, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Participant Conduct
ASTM and/or its instructor reserves the right to remove any participant whose behavior is disruptive, inappropriate, or interferes with delivery of the training. Removal shall not entitle client to a refund.
No Guarantee of Certification
Completion of the course does not guarantee certification, compliance, or specific business outcome. ASTM makes no representation or guarantee that participation in or completion of the course will result in certification or qualification of any kind.
Virtual Platform
ASTM shall host the training session via its designated virtual platform. Client is responsible for ensuring participant access and compatibility.
Participant Access
Access to the virtual training is limited to registered participants only. Login credentials may not be shared. Streaming or broadcasting the session to non-registered individuals is prohibited. ASTM reserves the right to remove unauthorized participants.
Technical Requirements
Technical Disruptions
In the event of a platform or instructor connectivity disruption exceeding thirty (30) minutes, ASTM will use reasonable efforts to resume the session or reschedule the affected portion. Such disruption shall not constitute breach.
Training Format
Virtual sessions may include interactive components such as polling, chat participation, or breakout discussions. Participant engagement is expected for optimal learning outcomes.
Venue
If training is on site, client is responsible for providing a conference (or suitable) room and facilities accommodating all the participants, including all the necessary computer and audio visual (presentation) equipment and any applicable accesses for the instructor.
Site Access and Safety
Client shall ensure that ASTM’s instructor is provided safe access to the training location and shall inform ASTM in advance of any site-specific safety requirements or security clearance requirements. Client shall remain responsible for maintaining a safe training environment.
Confirmation and Location Information
After registering online, you'll receive an email within 48 hours with your registration confirmation. A welcome letter with specific course information will be sent ten days prior to the start of the course.
Accommodations
Class participants are responsible for making their own hotel reservations and for paying their hotel charges.
