ASTM Committee E53 on Asset Management was formed in 2000. The development, maintenance, and dissemination of standard practices and performance standards for asset management systems and the lifecycle management of personal property assets. E53 meets once a year, usually in mid to late summer, in conjunction with the annual National Property Management Association's (NPMA) National Education Seminar. The Committee, with a membership of 114 members, currently has jurisdiction of over 35 approved standards that are published in the Annual Book of ASTM Standards, Volume 04.12.
