Rationale

A current ballot item in C1063 (WK86402) updates the term for “hardened concrete nail” to “Masonry Stub Nail” as is currently specified in F1667 and C1861 and states conditions for use of the Masonry Stub Nail in C1063. This C1861 ballot item simply adds the 3/8 in Masonry Stub Nail as a fastener for solid bases only, in Table 3, to harmonize C1861 with the Masonry Stub Nail requirements balloted in C1063 for consistency.
