Rationale

The C1793 guideline for SiC-SiC Composite Specifications was published in 2015. A recent review along with historical comments has pointed out several sections in need of technical clarification and data updating. This ballot offers two ballot items with technical additions and clarifications to three sections – Section 8 Physical Property Requirements, Section 9 Mechanical Property Requirements, and Section 2 References.
