1. Scope

This guide covers the apparatus, equipment, procedure and conditions to provide an exposure environment containing a salt spray (fog) which includes ultra-violet (UV), ozone (O3), carbon monoxide (CO) and dioxide (CO2) gases, nitric oxide (NO) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2) gases, and sulfur dioxide gas (SO2) at various concentrations in alternating or constant periods of exposure conditions.
