The Committee shall develop and maintain standards for the use of the International System of Units (SI) (the modernized metric system). The Committee shall advise the joint IEEE/ASTM Committee on SI about modifications of and the reapproval of IEEE/ASTM SI 10 Standard for the Use of the International System of Units. The Committee will provide advise on SI practice in standards and other publications for ASTM Committees. The work of this Committee will be coordinated with ASTM Committees and other organizations having mutual interests.
