Latest Experts Represent Standards Bodies of South Africa and Vietnam

Experts from national standards bodies in South Africa and Vietnam will visit ASTM International headquarters from May 24 to June 18. During their visit, the experts will learn about ASTM International and its standards development process, attend the June committee week, visit both federal government agencies and U.S.-based standards development organizations in Washington, D.C., and share information about their work and their home organizations.

Percy Malatsi is a project leader from the South African Bureau of Standards. His work involves customer liaison, managing committees from various industries, preparing standards in the chemical and mining department at SABS and translating and interpreting technical documentation into user-friendly text.

Nguyen Van Khoi is a senior official in the standards department at the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality in Hanoi, Vietnam, where he has worked for the past 15 years. His responsibilities include developing policy, law and regulations and technical guidance for standards activities in Vietnam. Nguyen Van Khoi holds a master's degree in international law from Hanoi University.
