Nana Gyan, assistant standards officer, Ghana Standards Authority, visited ASTM International headquarters as part of ASTM's MOU technical visitor grant program from Oct. 29 to Nov. 26, 2014. While at ASTM, Gyan worked with ASTM staff to learn about pipeline integrity in the oil and gas industry.

The purpose of the technical visitor grant program is to benefit a technical expert from one of ASTM's memorandum of understanding signatories. This person is either a member of the national standards body's staff or one of its technical committees. During their stay at ASTM headquarters, the program participant is exposed to standards related information and activities in a given sector within ASTM's scope.

ASTM and GSA signed a memorandum of understanding in August 2007. For more information on the ASTM International MOU program, visit the ASTM website.
