In early November 2014, Teresa Cendrowska, ASTM vice president, global cooperation and Liu Fei, chief representative, ASTM China office, met with staff of the Innovation and Technology Commission of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The meeting occurred at ITC headquarters in Hong Kong.

Discussions enabled a better understanding of the roles that ITC plays in standards and accreditation in Hong Kong. The meeting also allowed for extended discussions about ASTM as an international standards development organization, the global application of ASTM standards and participation in ASTM technical committees.
